Vintage late-1990s D&G by Dolce & Gabbana midi skirt constructed with a distinctive double-layer design: an opaque satin-effect base layer and an outer sheer mesh layer embellished with three-dimensional floral appliqués. A refined Italian archive piece that reflects the experimental and feminine language of the D&G line at the end of the 1990s.
Dating from the 1998–1999 period, this skirt embodies the youthful and sensual aesthetic that characterized D&G by Dolce & Gabbana during the late 90s, where transparency, texture and decorative elements were central to the design vocabulary. The contrast between the smooth satin underlayer and the lightweight mesh overlay creates depth and movement, while the sculptural floral appliqués add a romantic and tactile dimension to the silhouette.
The skirt is preserved in very good overall vintage condition. A tear is present on the mesh layer and is visible in the detailed photos; it does not affect the underlying layer and is consistent with the delicacy of the fabric and the age of the piece. The original size and composition labels have been removed.
