Vintage mid-1990s Versus by Gianni Versace satin dress in an iconic “Barbie” pink shade, designed with voluminous sheer balloon sleeves and a cut-out detail at the back. A striking Italian archive piece that captures the bold, youthful and sensual spirit of Versus during the 1990s.
Dating from the mid 1990s, this dress embodies the distinctive Versus aesthetic of the era, where vibrant colors, playful proportions and provocative cut-outs defined the brand’s identity. The satin body creates a smooth, luminous surface, while the transparent balloon sleeves add volume and contrast, enhancing movement and visual impact. The open back detail is a signature element seen across Versus collections of the period, reinforcing the dress’s strong archival relevance.
The dress is new with the original tag still attached. A small hole is present on one of the sleeves and is visible in the detailed photos. Additionally, the sheer fabric of the sleeves shows slight yellowing due to age. These elements are consistent with long-term storage and do not detract from the overall rarity and collectability of the piece.
Condition: Excellent vintage condition (9/10).
Composition: 47% acetate, 31% viscose, 22% cotton.
Fit: IT 42.
Measurements: Waist 35 cm; Length 91 cm.
The garment has been refreshed with steam. Once the tag is removed, it can be washed following the care instructions.
